There are three types of courses offered - regular, part time and distant education courses.
Candidates who are employed can join for part time classes on Saturdays as well as other holidays from 10 am to 4 pm.
Those candidates who cannot attend the course in regular or part time batches can learn through distance education scheme.
Study materials will be provided to the distance education scheme candidates over two occasions via post after course registration.
There will be two contact classes for 10 days at LK Online Education and Services for distant education scheme candidates.
There will be two contact classes in the months of August and September. The August classes will cover the theory portions of the syllabus and the September classes regarding practical and record works. Contact classes are compulsory.
The students must wear uniform, either rose color sari or churidar.
Students can opt to write the exams either in English or Malayalam.
The candidates can have their teaching practice, theory and practical exams in their own native districts.
Highlights of the Course
This teachers training course is offered in association with Central Institute of Vocational Training (CIVT), Delhi an autonomous board that coordinates and implements various educational programs associated with the State and Central Government as well as Social Welfare Department.
Candidates on successful completion of these courses are eligible to work in educational institutions inside and outside Kerala.
The candidates who successfully complete and pass this course are also eligible to teach in English medium lower primary and upper primary schools.
The certification provide by the course will be accepted by government employment exchange.
Successful candidates on successful passing of the course, will be qualified and eligible to start Day Care Centers, Play Schools and Kindergarten.
Examination Schedule
Practical examinations will be held during the months of October and the course certificate will be issued in May.
The course certificate and mark list will be sent via post after the completion of main exam.
Registration
To register for the course, one has to send the filled application form along with the two attested copies of SSLC certificate and a course fee of Rs 2800/-either as DD or money order in the name of “Universal Education Foundation” along with 5 passport size photographs through registered post.
Candidates must note that the applications sent via courier will stand rejected.
